This is how we helped Lagerservice optimise their 3PL warehouse
Customised logistics solutions
Lagerservice is a company in Nässjö, Sweden, in the business of third-party logistics. They offer flexible solutions for customers with product-intensive logistics flows. With their strategic location in Nässjö, midway between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, they quickly reach more than 7 million people within a radius of about 30 miles.
- The goal is to offer the most efficient logistics solution possible based on each customer's needs, says Andreas Hagejärd, CEO and co-owner. And since customers are of different sizes and from different industries, flexibility has always been part of our DNA.
A brand new warehouse from the ground up
Lagerservice had been refining its business in one property since its inception in 1984. But in early 2020, a neighboring company asked if they might consider moving to free up space for that company's continued expansion. The answer was YES and an agreement was reached which gave Lagerservice the chance to design and build a new, much larger, logistics property a few hundred meters away.
- We have always strived to be the obvious choice in 3PL logistics, says Andreas. And when we were given the opportunity to create a completely new warehouse from scratch, we were able to use our previous experience of what works to create even better logistics solutions for our customers.
Requirements for quality and flexibility
Andreas & Co. acted as the developer themselves and were responsible for all purchases. The ambitions were high, both with the building and the interior design. As for the latter, the pallet racking market was scanned, a requirement specification was written regarding flexibility, quality, environment, certifications and documented experience. Many suppliers applied, but according to Andreas there was never any doubt:
- AJ Products made a good impression from the start, with knowledge, great commitment and broad product range. Since they could also take responsibility for the whole project, the choice was easy in the end.
Our ULTIMATE Pallet Rack was put to the test
The project became a developing journey. Lagerservice wanted to optimise every part of the warehouse according to customer needs, which put the flexibility of our ULTIMATE pallet racking to the test. The team from AJ Products had to calculate, draw and manufacture countless different variants of support beams to adapt the different sections to each customer. To meet fire protection requirements for certain types of goods, we also introduced a sprinkler system through 30% of the pallet spaces.
Via clear 3D drawings, we continually updated the team with how the various sections would turn out. Our overall solution also included planning, contact with other suppliers, delivery and assembly.

An overall solution with great results
The new logistics center was fully completed at the end of 2022 and now accommodates over 31,000 pallet spaces in several different configurations. In addition, we have delivered 3,000 linear meters of storage shelves for the picking warehouse on the mezzanine, collision protection and other safety products, labels and signage, and also furniture for their new office space! A total solution where the quality and span of our warehouse range, along with the service from our team of warehouse experts came together and finished with fantastic results.
